If you’ve been reading Avenging the Week — and if not, why not? — you know how much Jamaal loved Daytripper, the recent Vertigo mini-series from Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon.  Now, you can listen to all four of us take a crack at heaping praise at it. Sorry for the spoilers, but we all loved it. Go buy it. Then listen to the podcast. Then go pick up the brothers’ sweet-looking new book Atelier at the New York Comic Con this weekend. Unless it’s about to sell out, then make sure we all have our copies. Then buy it.

But yeah, Daytripper is great. Dave Stewart’s coloring was great too! See everyone at the con!

JOE NOTES: Editing this show, it seems that Warren Ellis read Casanova and thought, “Hmm… I’m going to take all the good ideas in this and do them justice in Desolation Jones“. I didn’t realize how much this was true until after the show…

Slight warning. There’s lots me ranting. Lots. So, you might want to skip this if you don’t enjoy my whiny ass whining. My “Too Long, Didn’t Listen” version: None of us liked Casanova. At all. Go Desolation Jones instead.
