What? It’s President’s Day, there’s no school, people are off work… it’s still Valentine’s Day Weekend!

1. Practically Everything Grant Morrison Touches but Especially His Ability to Tug at Heartstrings with the Barest Mention of Pets (New X-Men #123)

4. Dave Sim (and Gerhard) and the sequential art/lettering masterclass they put on even as Cerebus dipped deeper into madness (Cerebus #255)

  1. God, 100% agreed on the Sim/Gerhard. I somehow managed to slog through every Cerebus volume, and all the hundreds of pages of 4pt Bible interpretation were worth it when you’d hit these couple dozen pages of really just masterful comics! And then, of course, back to the mad scrawling, but man, when Cerebus is good, it is good as hell.

  3. Adam: tell me you don’t mean he has #25 on the list. Because I just finished The Invisibles and I will fight you for that shit.

  4. Rerun is amazing, I can’t believe those aren’t doctored images.

  5. Now that the Milestone characters are in the DC Universe we need a Dogg/Krypto meeting.

  6. One thing I’d put on my top 25 is that it sounds like DC is changing it’s mind and putting all the Final Crisis tie-ins written by Morrison into the main FC hardcover where they belong and out of the companion. Woot, happy President’s Day!
